FIERCE LOVE | Southern Illinois Photographer
ESTHER BLOOM PHOTOGRAPHY
Sometimes you just need to create something that makes you happy...THIS IS THAT THING FOR ME! Last year I had a long talk with Joelle Knight & we instantly clicked. It was like we were sharing the same brain for our love of this theme. I had wanted to do a Robin Hood styled shoot for a while but didn't know who would want to do it with me or who would even make the time. Because if I'm honest I didn't have much time to devote to this project either. I had to make myself step out of my comfort zone and ask others to do it with me. It was amazing. I felt the joy that I once had while studying art in college. I was back to creating just for the fun of it. This shoot it simply just that....creating for fun. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
The beautiful stationery was made by Hello Nola. I absolutely love her attention to detail and the custom watercolors she can do! & she is local to Southern Illinois! https://www.facebook.com/hellonola/
On the morning of the shoot we woke up to find it had snowed unexpectedly...of course I got excited and thought it just added the extra touch we were looking for.
I knew from the beginning I wanted a model with the most beautiful red hair. Lindsay Brandt has been a long time friend of mine who graciously came home from her life in Nashville, TN as an aspiring singer/songwriter to model. She was FABULOUS!!!! Reagen Willis was the Hair & Makeup artist who captured my vision exactly. It was exactly how I had dreamed and they made it look effortless. I couldn't have asked for a more talented team that day.
Oh and the cake...my talented mamma baked one right up for us. I told her our vision and she went for it. She is simply amazing and isn't afraid to take risks with cakes. I appreciate that. It was one of the most beautiful cakes I have ever seen. The caramel drizzled down was my favorite!
I was so excited to find out that our styled shoot was going to be featured in the new ENGAGED River Valley Magazine. This magazine is for the brides wanting something different. Wanting unique ideas for their own weddings as well as tips from the local vendors. They publish real weddings as well as styled shoots. I cant wait to see what the next edition looks like. You should be seeing these around the tristate area in local businesses soon if you haven't already.
