JOE + BRIANNA | Southern Illinois & Indiana Wedding Photographer
At the beginning of this year I got a call for a wedding...It was the grooms sister JoElle who called & she was the event planner with JoElle Elise Design. So naturally I was extremely flattered she asked me! Her work is GORGEOUS & we soon found that we could easily be best friends. Not only did we both love weddings, everything vintage, & flipping homes/design, but we both had a love for our families & the Lord. She then told me all about her brother & his soon to be wife. I was very impressed with his heart & their engagement story! (You have to ask them about it) Then she told me they were both red heads & I got pretty excited. I couldn't wait. This wedding was going to be AMAZING. & I was right...
The Bride & her maids got ready in the couples new apartment they would share together.
The first look with the father is always sweet....he even kissed her hands!
As I understood the Brides family is from Iceland, Ireland, & her grandparents made the trip from New York. I loved learning about this unique family. & strangely we had so many people we knew in common.
The groom & his crew got ready at his sister Joelle's home. While getting ready it was soon discovered to be a problem with the grooms jacket....Seems the magnet wasn't strong enough & they removed it minutes before the ceremony!!! The entire time the groom was so calm & collected. I was impressed.
JoElle's little lady was the sweetest flower girl. She giggled the entire way down the aisle while lil man was a bit bashful.
The ceremony was held in Joe's sisters yard while the reception was held in the back of the home. It was absolutely GORGEOUS! It was so nice seeing family work together like that.
“Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God." Ruth 1:16
Did I mention that this group did not take themselves too seriously & were a complete joy to work with. I love when everything is laid back & not so uptight. Weddings are a fun celebration & they understood that.
I have found the one whom my soul loves. Song of Solomon 3:4
Not only is there an amazing barn near the property but they have the most amazing tree house....I mean really!!!!
The reception was equally as gorgeous & they even had bamboo cutlery & plates. I don't know that I even knew that existed. The food was wonderful & prepared by the lovely Nancy with Touch of Home Catering.
Not only was it a stunning cake setup...it taste amazing too! Piece of Cake from Evansville has never disappointed.
The lovebirds & crew danced the night away under the stars...
We can't thank y'all enough for the wonderful night & trusting us with your perfect day. We are honored to work with you & so glad to have gained new friends in this process.
