MISS HENLEY JEAN | SOUTHERN ILLINOIS PHOTOGRAPHER
A strong willed firecracker with the most beautiful curly red hair you've ever seen.... This is Miss Henley Jean!
When we moved to McLeansboro I had heard about this family several times from my husband. He always had nothing but great things to say about his friends Ty & Steph. I knew once we met we instantly clicked & would get along great....What I didn't know is how much their testimony would move me & how such a little lady could make such an impact. She is beautiful yes, but she is also a miracle. A gift from God showing us all that He is capable of.
I asked Stephanie to tell me a little about her story with Miss Henley & she was so gracious to share. I admire her strength & courage as I know you will too. So please as you look at this innocent face with the most gorgeous hair I've ever seen...remember the miracle. & Thank you so much Ty & Steph for allowing me to capture these moments for you & your family. We had a wonderful time playing in the wildflowers & showing me all of her favorite activities! I can't wait to do it again once you bring home little Hayes!
"Our little miracle was conceived after many failed IUI treatments and a twin miscarriage after IVF. She is our IVF rainbow baby. We knew very early on we were pregnant and had the faith that we didn't have the last pregnancy. When we heard the heart beat we cried tears of joy. We had made it further than ever before. We knew Gods promise. During the pregnancy The kept me on blood thinner shots and pills, and IV antibodies once a month to make sure my body would not attack the fetus and the placenta would get enough blood flow. At 12weeks of pregnancy I started bleeding, went to the ER and was told by the attending MD to prepare for a miscarriage, I had a placenta previa and subchorionic hemorrhage and there was nothing they could do. But I knew Gods word Exod 23:26, that I would not miscarry and I declared the word over and over until the bleeding stopped. We saw our primary OB the next day at told we just had to wait and watch but there was no contractions, no bleeding and my cervix was closed. One week later I had another bleed, I declared the same thing and once again the bleeding stopped. At 13 weeks I was placed on bedrest at home. Over the course of the pregnancy we saw the OB MD every week and then 2x week. She had every odd against her: I developed preeclampsia, gestational diabetes and the complete placenta previa. Finally late 2nd trimester the previa and hemorrhage resolved. Then At 34w6days I was up all night with what they kept telling me was "her foot in my ribs." I paced the floor all night and by morning called to be evaluated. By the time I made it to the hospital the pain was severe. The monitors showed nothing to be wrong. No contractions, cervix closed, and no bleeding. For good measure checked even my gallbladder to try to find a cause for the pain. After a few hours, and enough pain medicine to get me to lay still, they saw a few contractions but nothing to be causing the pain I was still having. My primary MD came in and said, " I'm going with a gut instinct and we will have a baby in an hour". Do the age of the baby, This hospital doesn't deliver but we had no time to fly, and off to surgery we went. The MD called life flight from Cardinal Glennon for stand by, a 2nd surgeon and pediatrician to be in the OR. I was awake for delivery when they deleivered her and I heard no cry. They told me I had lost a lot of blood from an abruption and the baby had swallowed it. They were trying to get her to breath and life flight was on the way. After what seemed like a eternity I got to see my little girl, not knowing then that she wasn't breathing when I met her, I saw her only for a split second. They were using bags to keep her breathing, with eventual intubation and life flight got her stabilized and gave her medicine for her lungs and off they went. From my hospital room I watched my little angel take a flight In the sky, and I just prayed. Once at Cardinal Glennon this little fighter was off the vent the same day, and had a 10 day NICU stay for breathing and learning to eat. This little girl is a firecracker, biggest heart a little girl could have and strong willed. The days that I look at this girl and think how are you so strong willed already, I remember her strong will and Gods grace is what got her here today. --Stephanie"
